The BlueNotes team, developers of IBM’s BNDW (BlueNotes Document Warehouse) today announced the availability of a personal, desktop version of the product.
The well-established, enterprise version of BlueNotes Document Warehouse allows you to easily locate and retrieve any file held on any server and view it immediately from your own computer via a simple to use Lotus Notes interface. It is easy to understand and enables you to rapidly create an index of all of the files held on your network. You can then search for your documents by ‘path’, by ‘name’, by ‘last modified date’, by ‘extension’ and by ‘size’.
The new version – MyBlueNotes Document Warehouse – extends this powerful capability to your desktop local drive. Once installed you will be able to locate the path to all of your documents from a single index, change the view to suit your preferences and retrieve the documents rapidly once you’ve found what you’re looking for.
